Joy Kelly grew up in the South Bay Beach cities of Los Angeles, graduated from UCLA with a BA in theater arts, and lived just about everywhere from Hollywood to Sherman Oaks before settling in Santa Monica where she and her husband raised their two children. Joy loves that Los Angeles is an ever-evolving patchwork of neighborhoods with different personalities and lifestyles. Joy finds there is truly something for everyone if you know where to look.
The path to real estate for Joy was a journey of representing formidable actors for branding, licensing, commercials, and voiceover. Joy had the privilege to be a part of a process that brought together elite actors, directors, photographers, and their teams of elite attorneys, managers, and support staff. In that environment, impeccable client service, clear communication, and strong negotiation skills were a minimum requirement. Working with world class talent and brands provided an unsurpassed education in luxury aesthetics through exposure to leaders, creators, and artists in the beauty, fashion, and advertising industries.
After two decades, Joy decided to bring her extensive service and professional skills to real estate. Having dabbled in renovation and home flipping, it was a natural career transition. Joy’s passion for finding the perfect home for a buyer or finding the perfect buyer for a home is obvious. Joy believes deeply in the benefits of homeownership on an individual, family, and community level.

When Joy is not working, she can be found cooking for family and friends, singing too loudly in spin class, practicing yoga, or cheering on her UCLA Bruins as well as the Wisconsin Badgers and Texas Longhorns. Joy enjoys volunteering with Imagine LA, a non-profit dedicated to ending the cycle of family poverty and homelessness.
