Ryan is a recently licensed broker with Cascade Sotheby’s, transitioning from a career path that instilled the knowledge to make him a valuable asset to your next property transaction. He holds a bachelor of science degree with emphasis in geology and hydrology from The Evergreen State College, which directly led to a stormwater engineering position in Snohomish County, Washington. This employment with and urban county developed not only the knowledge of civil design, plat construction and surveying, but also an understanding of navigating permitting processes, researching pertinent documents, and taxation matters. Most recently, Ryan served 12 years as President and CEO for a family-owned timber company in the Pacific Northwest. In this role, Ryan solidified his passion for working in the real estate industry, while assisting agents in orchestrating myriad real estate transactions including purchases, sales, easement procurements, adverse possession resolutions, public condemnations, and multi-property like-kind exchanges. Communicating the complexities of these transactions to the company directors and shareholders correlates well with leading clients through real estate transactions. Concurrent with his employment career over the past 20 years, Ryan has always been involved with private real estate investments where he had a vested interest. These include several homes and bare land purchases. This experience managing projects while being financially liable offers a Ryan unique perspective to share with his clients who are considering the same type of endeavors. The ever-increasing competitiveness of the Central Oregon real estate market requires solid analytics and strategy to act quicky when opportunity knocks. One must have objective data to pair with the heart in making these decisions. Ryan could not be happier to be raising his two sons in Central Oregon.
