This confluence of East and West seems fitting for someone who was born in Hong Kong, raised in Seattle, and then made her way to Oakland to attend the oldest women’s college west of the Rockies. Jenny feels most at home in her garden, where her favorite chores are collecting quail eggs from nest boxes by day and harvesting fresh greens for dinner with her headlamp by night.
