Sherry Villano, founder of The Villano Group, has enjoyed an illustrious, multi-decade career in real estate. With a laser focus on her clients’ needs and exceptional marketing acumen, Sherry’s concept of offering a boutique level of service has always set her apart. By acting as an expert advisor to her clients, Sherry has elevated the market and set sales and rental records in Seaside Park for multiple years. In 2020, in recognition of her excellence and dedication, Sherry received the National Realtors’ Association Emeritus Award for more than 40 years of contributions to the real estate industry.
A licensed Realtor since 1978, Sherry started her company, Villano Realtors, in 1997 in Middletown NJ. There she worked with clients all throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties. She also assisted in relocating Bell Labs employees, as a buyer’s and seller’s agent. In 2005 she took Ocean County by storm, opening the landmark Villano Realtors office in Seaside Park.
Active on the Monmouth County Board of Realtors for many years, Sherry served as MLS Chairperson for three years, Education Committee Chairperson for three years, Treasurer and Secretary of the Board, and Member of the Board of Directors for several terms. She has been very involved with the Women's Council of Realtors, serving as Local President, State President, and National Director, and was also honored as “Woman of the Year” by the organization in 1997.
Sherry attended Rutgers University for three years, ultimately graduating from Peirce College in Philadelphia. She earned her Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation in 1985. Sherry received the prestigious accreditation "Performance Management Network," which is the highest level of educational achievement in the Women's Council of Realtors, the second largest affiliate to the National Association of Realtors.
In addition to being active in business and local affairs in the Seaside Park community, Sherry loves to give back as a Founder of the Friends of Charity, an organization which provided funds for cancer research at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). She has also served the Seaside Park community as Vice President of the Environmental Committee from 2012 to 2018, and as a member of the Mayor’s Bayfront Flooding Mitigation Committee.
Having summered in Seaside Park since her childhood, Sherry has deep roots in the community. She currently lives on the bay with her husband Charles. They are active members of the Seaside Park Yacht Club and can be seen “cutting a rug” at club events. Sherry has two children, Cyndy of New York City, and Charles III of San Diego, CA and three wonderful grandchildren, Arden, Charles IV, and Carys.
In 2023, Sherry joined forces with longtime friend and colleague, Lee Childers, to launch Childers Sotheby’s International Realty- The Villano Group. She looks forward to serving her clients with the same level of excellence and integrity for many years to come.
