After more than 20 years in a middle school language arts classroom, there is not much that I can’t handle! In 2017 I decided to put down the red pen and shift my focus from working with students and their writing plans to working with families and their house plans. My years as a teacher, along with my previous careers in banking and non-profit, have equipped me with a wide range of knowledge, experience, and skills that I use daily to help my clients buy and sell residential properties. Because I am organized and detail-oriented, I can handle the negotiations and fine points of the transaction so that my clients can enjoy an exciting, stress-free home-buying or home-selling experience.
Since I grew up in Mountain Brook and spent my childhood years in and around different parts of Birmingham, I am very familiar with this area. After college, my husband Beau and I decided to make Birmingham our home and raise our two boys here. It was the best decision for our family! Now that we are empty-nesters, Beau and I still live in Mountain Brook with our two basset hounds, Duke and Rosie. They keep our “Byrd nest” full!
