Description
John Campbell returned to the Emerald Coast and the site of his childhood vacations after a varied career that took him from painting Christopher “Kip” Forbes’ (Forbes Magazine) 50th birthday portrait to selling real estate in New York City with a top-producing team at Douglas Elliman.
Originally from New Orleans, John earned a bachelor’s degree at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he was a rower and also interned at the White House. He originally planned on attending law school but a trip to Corfu, Greece, in the mid-90s took him down a different path. By 2000, John appeared as the Emerging Artist of the Year in American Artist Magazine. He proceeded to present numerous shows in both Washington and San Francisco, where he lived for a time.
John said he’s always been drawn to the Gulf Coast and wanted to live here after years of city life. He has found an abundance of similarities between art and real estate, and has an affinity for both design and architecture. He first pursued a career in real estate after talking with clients as a personal trainer at a luxury gym. Today, he serves clients in Manhattan, Brooklyn and along Scenic Highway 30A.
He genuinely enjoys getting to know people and what motivates and drives them and uses a variety of mediums like Instagram and BombBomb to connect with them. John loves selling luxury new construction and working with buyers throughout the area. His dedication and focus are a boon to clients in a process he tries to make fun and enjoyable while accomplishing their goals.
In his free time, John enjoys serving underprivileged populations and attends the Chapel at Seaside. He joined the Destin Aquatic Center and the Destin Run Club and plans to take part in the Splash and Dash 5K Run/SUP events in WaterColor and other paddleboarding competitions.
