Rick Hamlin was born in Santa Barbara, CA so he is accustomed to a nice beach area. Rick later moved to Louisiana with his family as they expanded their oil businesses. A few years later Rick attended boarding school in Orlando, FL. His family then moved to Sarasota, Florida and created a real estate firm. Rick first became a real estate broker in Florida in 1984. He later received his B.S. in Finance from the University of South Florida to help him with his real estate clients. Rick soon became a licensed California real estate agent, then broker. He later attended law school in California. While attending law school, Rick worked for a consulting firm traveling throughout the U.S. After graduation from law school, Rick worked for Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor in Santa Barbara, CA and acquired all the major licenses for a stock broker, including Series 7, 63, 39, 21, 4 and other licenses. After passing the California Bar Examination, Rick decided to pursue his Master of Law in Transnational Business Practice. which included study in Salzburg, Austria. During his study in Europe, he worked in Copenhagen, Denmark for the largest law firm in the country. He worked directly for the attorney to the Queen and advised the attorney and firm on many issues affecting Denmark's government, international European business clients, and other business interests for major well-known companies, in addition to advising the Danish government to join the E.U., but not to give up their currency, the DANISH KRONE. Rick is proud to say they followed his advice and glad they did. Afterward, Rick moved to New York City and passed the New York Bar Examination. He rejoined the same consulting firm and traveled the U.S. for the next 19 years, including the halls of Congress and all the offices of Wall Street we know well, plus most major industries in the nation. He next studied for and passed the examinations for the Solicitor Examination, thus becoming a Solicitor of the UK and Wales. He then received his New York Real Estate Brokerage license. For the past 6 years, Rick has created his own company and has used his education, experience, and knowledge to advise serious clients regarding investing in Tax Deeds in the best locations in the U.S. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, Rick lost his connections in Asia, so he decided to study for and pass the New Jersey Real Estate examination and work closer to home. Upon receipt of passage of the license, Rick searched for the best internationally known luxury real estate firm and quickly joined Soleil Sotheby's International Realty, after receiving job offers from all the major real estate firms in the area. Donald J. Gluck Jr., better known as DJ, owns and operates the Margate and Brigantine branches of Soleil Sotheby's International Realty with his wife, Tamy. Although they are experts in all fields of real estate, the office's specialty is in island living with a concentration on luxury homes and new construction. DJ attended Ithaca College and Widener University where he majored in Hotel Restaurant Management and learned what would become the foundation for his successful career. In 2000 they purchased the Blumberg Associates real estate office from Carol Blumberg, who had originally owned it since 1983. Then, in 2007, they made their most beneficial decision to date: they joined the Sotheby's International Realty brand.
