Born and raised in Richmond, VA, Ann Carter knows that her hometown has something to offer everyone. Whether you are a first time homebuyer, a seasoned buyer or seller in the luxury market, an investor, or you are looking for your forever home, Ann Carter has experience with both local and relocation clients. With a passion for architectural and historic preservation, she currently serves on the Junior Board for the Historic Richmond Foundation as their Quoit Club Chair. As a former intern for Historic Richmond, she had the opportunity to survey historic easements for many homes in Church Hill and surrounding Richmond neighborhoods. Her appreciation for and experience in studying historic homes gives her a unique perspective for potential in any property, new or old. As a seasoned ceramist with a background in fine arts, she has an eye for design and approaches the home buying and selling process with a natural creativity. Ann Carter understands that finding the right home for her clients starts with a vision and requires continued innovation, empathy, and support during each step of the process. Beyond helping her clients see potential, Ann Carter has the proven motivation and drive required to succeed in an ever-changing market. In her years since graduating from Clemson University (go Tigers!), Ann Carter spent three years working in commercial real estate research and as a consultant to individual owners in the multi-family residential market. When she is not out hustling for her clients, Ann Carter teaches pottery classes to young adults at a local studio, as well as creating her own work. She is an advocate for supporting local businesses; Any opportunity to try a new member of Richmond’s bustling restaurant scene is her greatest weakness. As an avid supporter of local animal rescue shelters, Ann Carter has adopted two cats from the Richmond Animal league, and is a dog lover. Being a seasoned Richmonder, Ann Carter has the knowledge crucial to her clients on their journey to finding their next home.
