Description
Kate is a Richmond native who graduated from St. Catherine's School and The University of Georgia with a bachelor's in Public Relations and minor in Speech Communications. Following graduation, Kate worked in public relations and online digital advertising sales with Bloomberg and Turner Broadcasting in New York City. After her time in New York, she worked in Charlottesville for the Darden School of Business, then spent four years in North Carolina working for Wake Forest University's School of Business. Kate, her husband and two small children have since returned to Richmond for her husband's position within BB&T Securities and Kate's former corporate development role with the American Heart Association. As a Richmond native with a strong background in communications and public relations, Kate knew the real estate business would be a natural fit where she could share her in-depth knowledge of the neighborhoods in and around Richmond, and gain the opportunity to connect with individuals on a personal level and ultimately be an excellent resource and advocate for her clients. In her free time, Kate enjoys traveling, entertaining, cooking and trying out the amazing restaurants and exciting cultural events that Richmond has to offer. She lives in the near west end of Richmond with her husband, Whit, their daughter, son, yellow lab and pug. Kate is an active community volunteer, serving on the Junior Boards of the Sheltering Arms and the World Pediatric Project. She is also involved with the Virginia Home for Boys & Girls, as well as First Presbyterian Preschool.
