Native Texan, Lisa Moya King, has lived in Houston, Austin, and Dallas. Upon her move to the latter, she found herself instantly drawn to the Munger Place Historic District in East Dallas. The architecture in the Dallas area is among the best preserved in the state of Texas, providing a pleasant contrast to the city’s modern assets and conveniences. As an agent, Lisa loves connecting others with their very own piece of historical charm.
Her background prepared her well for the real estate industry. Lisa has a master's degree in education from Texas Woman's University. After fourteen years in education and being named one of Dallas Independent School District’s Top 100 Teachers, helping clients better understand the home buying and selling process has proven an easy transition. As a former teacher and a mother of three, her extensive knowledge about public and private schools in North Texas work to her clients’ advantage.
Lisa taught in East Dallas and has made her home there with her family and three rescue animals. In her free time, she practices yoga and is in the process of completing the required two hundred hours of yoga teacher training. As a silversmith, Lisa enjoys making custom jewelry. And an interesting fun fact: she is a flamenco dance aficionado.
Given her love of the architecture of older homes, it is no surprise that Lisa has been certified as an Advanced Historic Home Specialist. She’s a member of Preservation Dallas and The Dallas Woman's Forum and loves sharing her knowledge of Dallas’ diverse neighborhoods.
