Description

Edward Staver started his career as a real estate professional in 2017, when he made the move from the busy streets of Los Angeles, California to St. George, Utah. While living in LA, he was introduced to the craft of buying and selling homes by broker Kim Nelson of Absolutely Fabulous Estates (CA) who he eventually went on to marry. They now have three children, two dogs and reside in The Homesteads at Stucki Farms in sunny and beautiful Washington, Utah.

Edward was born in Dubuque, Iowa and grew up just down the Mississippi River in the Quad Cities. He studied Theatre at the University of Illinois at Chicago and finished his degree at Illinois State University. He then traveled the country as a professional actor, treading the boards in over 25 states and 75+ productions at various equity theaters, storefront playhouses and two national tours. He moved to Los Angeles in 2010, and eventually auditioned his way into several commercials and independent films while supplementing his time in the hospitality industry as a bartender. The vast majority of Edward’s friends and family reside in the Mid-West region of the country from Chicago to Nashville, and due to his work as an independently contracted actor for many years, he still has contacts in nearly every single state and loves to visit family and friends when traveling.

Edward joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in late 2021 after being drawn to their reputation as Utah’s only full-service real estate brokerage with the ability to provide an unmatched luxury real estate experience for every property – regardless of location, price-point, or size of home. Now, supported by in-house teams specializing in transaction management, marketing and advertising, professional photography, videography and more, Edward can focus on providing his clients with elevated local real estate services that are backed by the global reach and power of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand.

In his free time, Edward enjoys playing guitar, golfing, fishing/hunting, enjoying rare cuisine and raising his three children while giving back to the Southern Utah community with his time and resources when available. He also enjoys reading; Earnest Hemingway, Eugene O’Neill and William Shakespeare are a few of his all-time favorite writers – however, the vast majority of books he currently consumes are non-fiction works through Audible.

Edward has always felt the need to serve; whether it be mixing up a drink at the bar or reciting a soliloquy, his audience has always come first. Edward feels the same about his career as a REALTOR®, the needs of his clients always come first. Edward’s strong, in-depth understanding of Utah’s current market conditions mixed with the ability to create substantial, lasting relationships have led him to close over 125 transactions in his first four years with the Washington County Board of REALTORS®. He strongly believes that at the heart of any great community, there is a well-formed network of philanthropy, outreach, food and art. Edward is excited about the growth in these areas that St. George has recently experienced and looks forward to being a part of Southern Utah’s future as he continues to establish himself as a top Sales Professional in the area with Summit Sotheby’s International Realty.

Description

St. George is a city located in southwestern Utah, on the Utah-Arizona border, known regionally as Utah's Dixie (a nickname given to the area for it's warm southern Utah climate which was historically used to grow cotton by early settlers). The city is nestled in a scenic valley of desert vistas in the northeastern Mojave Desert, adjacent to the majestic Pine Valley Mountains. St. George has seen unprecedented growth and has become well-known for its spectacular scenery, proximity to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park and Grand Canyon National Park; a growing arts and cultural flare; year-round golf, recreation, mild climate of over 300 sunny days a year, internationally known events and a major southwestern retirement destination. In the 1990s, the city was dubbed Utah's Palm Springs as retirees were flocking here. Today, however, St. George is growing into a diverse city of all walks of life, with a current city population of over 80,000 and metropolitan area of nearly 156,000. For locals and visitors alike, from the avid outdoor enthusiast to the more cosmopolitan type, the area offers everything from 'A to Zion'.
