Jana and her husband Brian are the proud parents of three children; Jenna (currently a nursing student at Baylor University’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing), Jack (studying engineering at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO), and Hayden (a student at Bullard HS). Jana enjoys walking with her dogs Gunni & Waylon, skiing, hiking, boating, spending time with family/friends, reading, learning new things, and travelling.

Lake Palestine is the largest of the lakes in our area, with a surface area of 25,560 acres (40 square miles) and a maximum depth of 50 feet, and an average depth of 16 feet. It is 18 miles long, with 135 miles of shoreline. The widest part of the lake is 4 miles across. Lake Palestine is located about 15 miles southwest of Tyler, Texas, on Highway 155. Portions of Anderson, Cherokee, Henderson, and Smith Counties are included in the lake. Lake Palestine provides recreation and outdoor activities for everyone, with boating, water skiing, houseboating, camping, RVing, canoeing, hiking, biking, and fishing all being popular activities. The lake is very popular for fishing and bass tournaments. The mild East Texas winter climate makes the lake available virtually on a year-round basis.
