Description

Whether it is a client’s first trout on the fly or first time buying a home in Steamboat, Taylor thrives on keeping the knots out of the line and kinks out of the transaction. Taylor graduated in 2010 from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University where he played Centerfield on the Red Raider baseball team, as well as earning a double major in Business and Business Marketing. After a stint coaching high school baseball at Highland Park in Dallas, and Saint Stevens in Austin, he decided to fill up a backpack and head to the Rocky Mountains to through-hike the 486 mile Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango. On the trail is where he learned to fly fish for the first time. “From the first tangle-filled day, I knew I was hooked. Little did I know at the time that this sport would shape the next chapter of my life.” After the trail he worked as a fly fishing guide in Arkansas where he saved enough money to spend an adventure-filled year and a half with his wife, Kary, in Southeast Asia and on the South Island of New Zealand. Upon returning to the States, they knew that the mountains were calling and they must go. Taylor took a job guiding at Steamboat Flyfisher which brought them over Rabbit Ears Pass to the Yampa Valley. “It didn’t take us long to realize we had landed in an extremely special place.” Taylor’s passion for wanting to share the uniqueness of Steamboat with every visitor he met is what drew him into Real Estate. “There are very few things that excited me more than putting a client on a big brown trout, but getting the opportunity to share this magical part of the country with the folks that have been fortunate enough to end up here is one of them! Whether you are looking to sell or purchase your little slice of paradise, or are just curious what the trout are eating, please give me a call.”
