Matt began his real estate career as an agent with Stevens and Company in Charlottesville in 1996. In 2000, he joined Atack Properties, one of the largest residential developers in the Richmond area, as a project manager. In 2005, he went to work as a commercial land broker at GVA Advantis, and in 2008 he joined Virginia Realty & Relocation. In addition to listing and selling both residential properties and land, Matt has been an investor in many residential renovation and building projects, so he is familiar with the construction of houses from the ground up. His experience in these various areas of the real estate business have given him a broad knowledge of market values in new construction, single-family homes, and raw land.
Matt grew up on a cattle farm in Botetourt County, Virginia. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in International Relations and has lived in Richmond and Charlottesville since graduation, with a brief stint in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Matt and his wife Betsy have three sons.
