Melisa’s professional experience in San Miguel includes having been the Coordinator of the Ignacio Ramírez Cultural Center 'El Nigromante' Bellas Artes. Previously, in Mexico City, she was Deputy Director of Cultural Studies at the Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana, and worked at the Vasconcelos National Library. She has worked for art- and culture- engaged NGOs in Oaxaca, Veracruz, San Luis Potosí and Zacatecas and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM); Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), and Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana (UCSJ).
