Doremus is a name that has been synonymous with Aspen real estate for many decades as his father John, who at one time, was the longest practicing realtor in Aspen. As the second of four generations of Aspenites, Andrew has an intimate and unique knowledge of the town’s history, valuable resources, and community happenings. After a long and successful career in commercial aviation that included starting and owning an aircraft charter company and fixed base operation, flying for Aspen Airways, United Express and many private corporate jet owners in and out of Aspen. For Andrew, it was an easy decision to follow his father’s footsteps into real estate, as he was an advisor to some of the most discerning clientele in negotiating the purchase, acquisitions and operation of multimillion-dollar private jets.
Andrew has resided in the Aspen since 1957 and with his wife for the last 37 years raising their five boys. Jeanne is a successful attorney for over 30 years and has specialized in Trusts, Estates and Real Estate. With a large family of athletic boys, they have been in the front of many organizations within our community! While raising a large family can have its own challenges, they loved being able to share their recreational passions with them such as hockey, skiing, golf, hiking, camping, and biking. Andrew has supported the community by serving as the President of Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard for three years and co-chaired the capital campaign to build the current club house. He also served on the Aspen Junior Hockey Board. Currently, he is the Vice President of the Aspen Flight Academy and on the board for the Aspen Hall of Fame. Jeanne is President of Alpine Legal Services and also serves on the Board of Directors for Aspen Valley Land Trust, where John Doremus was one of the founding members.
