A native of Franklin, Tennessee, Elizabeth Southern — known to her friends as “E So” — saw historic homes in her neighborhood co-exist with the new construction spreading towards Nashville. After graduating from Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineering, Elizabeth moved to the central corridor of St. Louis which she has called home for over 25 years.
A previously licensed professional engineer, E So began her career in the engineering design business before moving to Missouri to pursue a career in commercial construction. After over 10 years of commercial experience she shifted to residential construction. It was the combination of her construction background and a lifelong interest in home design that led Elizabeth to Dielmann Sotheby’s International Realty. Her ability to see the “bones” of a house helps buyers realize the potential in the structure, allowing them to envision turning the house into their home.
