Description
Cheryl Makrinos has been actively involved in the Greenwich real estate market since 1995 as an investor, renovator, landlord and property manager. Becoming a Realtor was a natural progression for her, and in 2005 she joined Sotheby's International Realty. A fourth-generation Greenwich native and a proud graduate of Greenwich Academy, Cheryl is passionate about Greenwich, its real estate and people. She welcomes the opportunity to introduce others to the town her family has called home--and was, in fact, responsible for a good deal of its development--since the 1800s.
Among Cheryl's most noteworthy transactions, she represented the sale of 1 Glenville Street, a mixed-use building recognized as the Village's most notable commercial property. She is also responsible for the highest-grossing residential sale to date on Cognewaugh Road in Cos Cob. She feels equally comfortable representing all parts of the town, from the back country, Old Greenwich and Riverside to Cos Cob, Glenville and Byram. Cheryl's top-notch performance has earned her numerous accolades, not only from her many satisfied clients, but also from her broker.
Cheryl has owned and managed multiple income-producing residential and commercial properties in Greenwich as well as Westchester County. From landlord/tenant relations to first-hand general contractor experience, she is well versed in all aspects of real estate ownership and development, from single- and multi-family homes to commercial properties to undeveloped land. As a result, she can make knowledgeable suggestions to help sellers prepare their homes and buyers make the most of their investment. She is also a published columnist on buying local real estate.
Through her deep industry experience, Cheryl knows how to navigate the Greenwich Town Hall to obtain critical information for both buyers and sellers. She has a solid understanding of Greenwich's Building and Planning-and-Zoning departments, and has cultivated relationships with other local real estate professionals including architects, engineering consultants and surveyors, contractors, landscape architects, interior designers, mortgage brokers and real estate attorneys.
