Aloha! My name is Jacque Shockley. I live in Hanalei with my family and Australian Shepard. My love for real estate began in 2004, when I bought my first home, without an agent, shhh! After the purchase of my 4th home, which was sight unseen and located far away on the East Coast, I began my own property management system for long-term rentals so I could manage these newly purchased properties. I have been a first time home buyer, a residential buyer, a multi-dwelling buyer, an investment buyer, and my most favorite of all. a cash flow buyer!! I am an opportunist and have the "learn by doing approach". I attribute my life successes to being an outside the box- YES thinker, and believe that when you ask the right questions the right answers always appear. My favorite inspirational book is "The Little Engine that Could" I have lived in several foreign countries doing everything from working with a NGO in Kenya supporting small scale farmers, to teaching English in the Galapagos Islands, to volunteering at a Boys Home in Bolivia and playing soccer with orphaned kids ages 9-18. I maintain an extensive network of friends and foreign investors in Singapore, China, Chile, Japan & Canada. During the expansion of Silicon Valley I worked as a sales consultant. I have strong connections to buyers all over California. In 2008, I co-founded a very successful and thriving Insurance company called "Shockley Insurance Solutions, Inc." in Santa Cruz with my husband, Steve of 16 years. I am a certified Bikram Yoga Instructor and teach classes in Kapaa and Princeville, member of Hanalei Bay Rotary, homebirth mother of 3 kids, and a graduate of Cal Poly, SLO.
