Description

My husband Greg, daughter Ruby and I moved to Strafford Vermont from Nantucket MA in 2005 to be closer to a strong horse community, and allow Ruby the experience of growing up in the Upper Valley's rich cultural environment. We lived on the island for 25 years where I taught horseback riding to many island children, worked as a rape crisis counselor at the island's domestic violence agency, Safe Place, and was a bookkeeper for the non-profit Hospital Thrift Shop.I became a member of GMHA upon arrival to the Upper Valley, and competed in events in the area as well. I worked at WISE, assisting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault as a program advocate and group facilitator. I found this to be very rewarding work. While shopping for horse items one day, I noticed a sign on the counter of local tack shop, simply stating "help wanted." I immediately applied, what job could be better for a horse enthusiast? Working there helped me live my passion for horses and all that goes with it. I loved working with customers, buying and selling for all of their equestrian needs. I became manager of the local tack shop, and continued to run the store for 4+ years. During that time I made a lot of contacts in the horse community, something I bring with me into my role as a real estate agent. In 2009, I decided to start my career as a real estate associate, specializing in equestrian properties. I enjoy selling real estate and the feeling of accomplishment I get when helping buyers and sellers achieve their real estate dreams. My family lives in Strafford, where my daughter Ruby is in 10th grade at Thetford Academy and my husband, Greg, works for the USPS. Our family consists of 1 horse, 1 dog, 2 cats and 7 chickens.
