Description

As a native New Yorker, born on the Upper West Side, and living in the West Village for over 25 years, Leslie joined Sotheby's International Realty due in part to the company's enduring reputation and global entity. She was attracted to the company's direct affiliation with the international community. Her love of Europe, especially France, enables her to provide clients with more knowledge of the global market.

Prior to Sotheby's International Realty, Leslie was associated with Warburg Realty for 14 years as a managing director. Her extensive contacts yield a broad referral base reaching into the downtown area, especially the Village, as well as the Upper West Side. Besides selling co-ops and condos, Leslie has a long history and strong knowledge of selling and renting townhouses. She has also represented the sponsor of a 30-unit West Village prewar building, 25 Charles Street, selling out the unsold shares at phenomenal prices. Her next successful project, a 70-unit prewar double building on 12th Street in the East Village, which she marketed as the exclusive broker, sold over 45 units.

Leslie's background is in fine art. She received an MFA from Queens College, and has maintained a studio for many years in Long Island City, within walking distance of PS1 and now affiliated with the Museum of Modern Art, where she once was awarded a studio for two years. Leslie, inadvertently, got into real estate when she developed a raw 3,500 square-foot loft in Long Island City, subdividing the space into art studios, one of which she occupied. Leslie believes her art experience, intuition and sensibility play a strong role in the elusive business of real estate. She considers among her dominant strengths her ability to effectively facilitate and close transactions, analyze properties in terms of financial, spatial and aesthetic factors, and her understanding gained through years of experience of the complexities and nuances of real estate, which she effortlessly conveys to both sellers and buyers.

Billie, Leslie's beloved dachshund, can be seen accompanying her around the West Village as a perfect guide and companion.
