In 1974, Patricia traveled from her home in Wisconsin to East Hampton for a one-week vacation. The unusual combination of community, natural beauty, and the ocean convinced her to call the area her permanent home. During her time here, Patricia has uncovered secret corners of the Hamptons that she is happy to reveal to those that share her love of the East End.
In Patricia’s private time, she is devoted to her family and outdoor activities, especially gardening, bicycling, and walking the beach. Adventure is always on her list whether, kayaking, trapeze flying, or travelling to a new part of the world. Patricia's efforts to pay it forward include mentoring new agents in her firm and the broader real estate community, working with her church’s mission group in Guines, Cuba in person to person diplomacy, and supporting the clean water project at their sister church. Past endeavors include the Ngamwaza Children’s project; a school for HIV orphans and street children in Nairobi Kenya. Her bucket list includes surfing at least once, and travelling around the world for however long it takes.

A licensed Associate Broker, Nanette Hansen is the Brokerage Manager of the East Hampton Brokerage of Sotheby’s International Realty, supervising more than 70 agents and staff. Prior to assuming the role of Brokerage Manager, Nanette was a top producing first quartile agent exclusive to the Hamptons for the better part of a decade, affiliated with the Sotheby’s International Realty - East Hampton brokerage since 2009.
A strong advocate for both agents and the brand, Nanette makes it her #1 priority to foster a responsive office environment which provides agents with mentoring, exemplary administrative support, superior technology, sophisticated marketing, coaching, and most importantly, a non-competing manager. Weekly office meetings are structured to include pertinent market discussions and trends, agent interaction and information sharing, broker feedback, and a collaborative atmosphere. Meeting notes are consistently distributed during each meeting and subsequently via email to all Sotheby’s International Realty - Hamptons agents following every office meeting. Prior to real estate brokerage, Nanette enjoyed a 19-year career as an Emmy Award-winning television journalist and anchorwoman for NBC, CNBC and CBS, dividing her time between her homes in Manhattan and East Hampton. Nanette remains an active board member of her Manhattan cooperative on the Upper West Side, but resides full-time in East Hampton. Nanette is a graduate of Boston College.
