Description

With a combination of longevity and skill, Al Colhoun brings decades of real estate mastery to benefit sellers, buyers, and investors in the Lake Tahoe/Reno region. Starting his Bay area career in the mid-1970s, this first-generation Irish immigrant calls upon his deep roots of integrity to serve others. With the rare commodity of “time in the industry,” Al is known for his market insights and unflinching negotiation skills. An indispensable guide to a diverse portfolio of clients, Al offers his proven ability to troubleshoot unforeseen issues and provide luxury-minded service to all with discretion and insight. This is augmented, of course, by his light sense of humor and personable nature. Al has achieved a level of accreditation that only select Realtors can speak to. He’s earned several national designations including Resort and Second Home Specialist and the coveted Residential Real Estate Council. He has tirelessly served on local boards as President, Board Member, State Director, and awarded Realtor of the Year. He is licensed in both California and Nevada. Partnering with Sotheby’s Relocation Services, Al confidently refers buyers and sellers, streamlining your next move in any state or country you desire. It’s no wonder most of his business comes from loyal repeat clients and referrals. Since 1978, Al and his wife have called Carnelian Bay home. He supports the ongoing efforts of Kiwanis, being a proud member since 1980. In his free time, he relaxes fly fishing throughout the Lake Tahoe region; a skill he, admittedly, seeks to improve. Proficient and caring, Al values the opportunity to guide you to success in your next real estate purchase or sale. Based out of Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty’s Tahoe City office, you can contact Al Colhoun at 530.913.0807.

Description

Established in 1864, Tahoe City has a rich heritage dating back to the Gold Rush, when fortune hunters passed through on their way to search for silver in the Comstock Lode. A visit to any one of the museums and historical landmarks managed by the North Lake Tahoe Historical Society provides insights into how this town has evolved from frontier outposts to an appealing enclave of lakefront restaurants, homegrown coffee shops, boutiques and private estates. Tahoe City's Lakefront Commons Beach is the heart of the town and provides acres of room to spread out, relax, hear a concert or peruse the Farmer's Market in summer. At the north end, the park blends into Tahoe State Recreation Area, with right-on-the-lake campsites. The adjacent public pier makes a great place to jump into Lake Tahoe. The centrally located Tahoe City Marina is home to the Tahoe Yacht Club which hosts weekly sailing series and other popular nautical events. Located a little higher up on the mountainside of the town, you'll find the world-class cross-country center Tahoe XC, which is the launching point to an outdoor enthusiast's Never-Never Land. Mountain bikers, hikers and runners can stretch out and experience stellar lake views, while undertaking the challenge presented by the web of trails and singletrack. In the winter, 65 kilometers of groomed cross-country track branch out from the center. Also in the winter, the town hosts Snowfest, North Lake Tahoe's version of Mardi Gras, with parades, live music, and snow play. A mélange of playful year-round activities, boutique shops, acclaimed restaurants and seasonal festivals awaits every visitor and local of the beautiful Tahoe City. Tahoe City is located just minutes from Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Sunnyside and Homewood Resort and connected to these iconic destinations by a paved bike bath that runs along the Truckee River and the shores of Lake Tahoe.
