Lon has lived in Oakland's Lake Merritt neighborhood for more than twenty five years. His successful international career included investigating and settling complex maritime and transportation claims involving many millions of dollars. The qualities that he developed were perfect for his real estate career - astute analytical skills, an ability to read people and situations that were not readily apparent to others and an eye for detail. In addition, as a third party administrator, Lon was entrusted with large amounts of other people's assets, again similarly to his real estate practice. Lon acquired his real estate license and working in the Prudential California Realty Piedmont Office before moving to McGuire Real Estate and then to Golden Gate Sotheby's International Realty. He truly understands what is required to prepare a home for sale including updating, staging and how to strategically price a property. Lon is the Master of Ceremonies for The Clarewood Singers and performs frequently throughout the Bay Area. He is also a charter member of Festival Opera in Walnut Creek. He frequently volunteers for community activities, particularly those involving seniors. He is Red Cross Certified in CPR and First Aid.
