David Burgher brings deep Texas roots, a lifetime spent around ranches, a love of the land, and 40 years' experience in commercial and ranch real estate to his position at Burgher Ray Ranch Group with Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty. He founded the Ranch and Land Division in 2011 and managed it until 2014, when he partnered with Harlan Ray to form the Burgher-Ray Ranch Group. BRRG has been the top producing ranch group at Briggs Freeman almost every year since, selling between 30 - 50 properties a year.
He began his career as a commercial real estate broker and appraiser, in 1991he co-founded Butler-Burgher Group (BBG), which was a multi- office regional valuation firm. The company was founded in 2007 and has since become a large national firm with the same name.
In 1998, he founded Trophy Investments, which focused on commercial real estate investment and development projects which included grocery-anchored and retail centers, office buildings, self-storage, industrial and medical office buildings, specialty hospitals, commercial land, and the redevelopment of an eight- block, 28-acre mixed use project in Fort Worth on Camp Bowie.
Burgher is a fifth generation Dallasite whose Texas ancestors date back to 1840. He graduated from Highland Park High School, the University of Texas (BBA) and Birmingham Theological Seminary (Presbyterian) with a master's in biblical studies. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker, State Certified Real Estate Appraiser and Property Tax Consultant.
Various professional organizations with which he has been involved include the N. TX Commercial Association of Realtors, N. TX Land Council, TX Alliance of Land Brokers, The Real Estate Council, the International Council of Shopping Centers, MetroTex and the Greater Tyler Area Realtors.
Active in the communities of Dallas and Fort Worth, he serves as a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, Chancellor's Council for the University of Texas, and previous board Chairman of the Historic Camp Bowie District in Fort Worth, and the Dallas Country Club.
He is a founding board member of the Dallas Real Estate Ministries (DREM), founding member/deacon of the Park Cities Presbyterian Church, and founding teaching director of the Co-ed Community Bible Study (CBS) in the Park Cities.
He and his wife, Pam, raised their five children in Dallas, and are now the proud grandparents of four grandchildren. After living in Bosque and Denton Counties for the last 10 years with their horses and dogs, they recently moved back to Dallas and their old neighborhood.
