More than just a numbers guy, Michael's creative side comes out in his wood carving and painting with many of his works having been sold at local charity auctions. As a US Coast Guard Licensed Captain with a fifty-ton master rating, Michael enjoys boating and has first hand knowledge of the local waters around Topsail Island and the nearby Intracoastal Waterway. A pastime he and his wife, Joyce, thoroughly enjoy is skippering charter cruises in the stunning waters of the Caribbean from ports of call such as the British Virgin Islands.
